Every price and warranty term on this site comes from a published source that we have opened and read, and every page links to its sources. This page explains what counts as a source, what we check before a figure goes on the site, and what happens when a source changes.

What counts as a source
- Manufacturers: their own warranty documents, support pages, manuals, and store listings
- Installers, dealers, and repair shops: prices and terms published on their own websites
- Retailers: current listings for parts
- Consumer guides: used for general ranges only, and described as guides when we cite them
What we check before a price is published
- The page is opened and read. A price is never taken from a search summary, which can be many months out of date.
- The price is described as what it is: a starting price, a sale price, a suggested price, or a range.
- When the source page is older, the page says so.
- When a figure comes from a single business, the page says that too. One business is not a market.
What we do not publish
- Estimates presented as if they were prices
- Prices passed along from forums or reviews
- Figures we could not trace to a page we were able to open
When a source changes
Businesses change their prices and take pages down. When we find that a price has changed, the page is corrected. When a business removes a price, we remove it too, even if that leaves a gap. Where no one publishes a price, the page says so.
Each page shows the month it was last reviewed.
Independence
Home Robotics Services is not affiliated with any manufacturer, dealer, installer, or repair shop. As of October 2026, no business has paid to appear on this site and the site carries no affiliate links. If that changes, this page will say so.
Corrections
- October 2026: removed one installer’s installation and repair prices from four pages after its price list was taken offline.
- October 2026: corrected a dealer’s annual service plan prices, which had risen since the figures we first published.
- October 2026: corrected replacement battery prices for robot vacuums, and part warranty terms and part prices for pool cleaners, after checking each against its source.
